What is Rhabdomyolysis????

Rhabdomyolysis is a disease that is not very common. Rhabdomyolysis is the breakdown of muscle, resulting in a protein called Myoglobin being released into the bloodstream and filtered out the body by the kidneys.Myoglobin breaks down into harmful compounds, that can block the structures of the kidney, causing damage such as acute tubular necrosis or kidney failure. As this is happening the muscles are dying, dead muscle tissue may cause a large amount of fluid to move from the blood into the muscle.Reducing the fluid volume of the body and leading to a condition called Shock and reducing blood flow to the kidneys. Rhabdomyolysis generally affects the body in many ways: muscle aches, stiffness, and muscle weakness can occur with Rhabdomyolysis, also it may cause a darkening of the urine color. Additional but rear symptoms are fatigue, joint pain, seizures, and weight gain.
